<a href="#comment-8492" rel="nofollow">@Question</a>
I would not phrase it like that. "Made sure that they were kicked out" -- I do not believe Eve's sin was premeditated on her part. She gave into the temptation, but "made sure" sounds too strong for me.
My point is simply that we can marry the right person and still that person might betray his or her vows.

the only sure way to follow Christ is by faith, day by day -- taking up our cross daily and dying to self and following Christ. It is better to make good decisions than bad decisions, and though good decisions will remove us from some temptations, they will not remove us from all of them.

Whatever path we take in life, as we follow Christ, we will find there is temptation on both side of the road. That was my point.

Blessings,

David

Hello,
just to sum up what you have written:
You do not recommend Christians marrying to Non-Christians. People should place the entire matter into the hands of God and leave it there.
By doing so Adam found a wonderful mate who according to your believe made sure that they were kicked out of paradise along with all the other wonderful consequences...
Sometimes I really have to wonder...

Pastor David,
Thank you do much for your thoughts on Grace. Even from across the world The Lord continues to speak to me through your sermons. I am learning that having and shoeing grace is an important part of having a servant heart.

Thank you

This is a really sobering truth and i cannot agree more with that. All too often i have been guilty of this sin and i thank God who patiently leads me to repentance and the realization of this fact.

One of the most powerful things to experience is God replacing our shame with his portion, or his double portion, as he says in Isaiah 61. Thank you for this devotion, David. You are so right on about the gratitude to God that results. Nothing else like it.
